It aint what you do, its the way that you do it.

We spoke to Tim tonight for our weekly update, progress is going well, we are a little behind at the moment but will catch up.

We have spent time going through some leads Tim gave us with mixed results.

In terms of recruiting today we havent done any, we wanted a real day of rest and we had it and really enjoyed it. We went to a local pub and had a nice sunday lunch, went shopping, bought some stuff off e-bay, watched the football and read. It was very relaxing.

It also gave me the chance to think and something that occurred to me earlier came up in our chat with Tim.

Earlier in the day I was sat at lights in the outside lane next to an Aston Martin DB7 - very nice but not quite the Aston Martin Vanquish I am aiming for - I have recently changed my car and perhaps as a sign of me finally maturing I have for once bought a car for comfort rather than speed. I was sitting at the lights remembering when I was younger and a bit of a boy racer. I would always try and beat the person from the lights. I came to devise a theory as to how likely it was I would win. What was interesting was that it wasnt the car that determined whether I would win but the driver. Many times I would pull up next to say a Jaguar sports model, on the face of it in my 15 year old speed mobile as it was then I would have no chance, but as I crept up next to it and looked in I would see an old man with his trilby hat on and his elderly mother in the back. I knew then that I would win. Because it mattered not that his car would leave me for dust if he wanted to the important thing was he WOULDN'T want to.

And so it is in life, it doesnt matter what headstart you have, how clever you are or how strong you are - its whether you want it badly enough.

And thats something we can all control.

So with this analogy in mind we spoke to Tim tonight, we asked him about promotional material. Which ones he thought were best. He let us into a secret that he said most Network marketers dont want to know........ He said it doesnt matter what you hand out, it can be a blank brochure, what matters is HOW you hand it out. People will buy your passion, your enthusiasm. If you are genuinely excited about it people will get that and it is infectious, they want be bothered whats on the DVD or brochure what they will think is "this has got to be good, look how excited they are"

SO next time you hand out a DVD, dont apologise for it, dont tell them it will only take 5 minutes of their time and if they get a chance could they look at it and see what they think. Give it them straight, if this is something you are excited about tell them, tell them that you have this amazing project going, that you are working with one of the best in the business, that you are so excited, that they have to have a look at it ecause it will blow them away.

If you dont feel that excited about your project, your business, then maybe you are in the wrong business, or the wrong project. What you need is THIS business, because we are setting our clocks for 2 hours earlier so that we can start working on our fortune for a couple of hours before we start working on our wages!

It isnt too late to get into the fastest growing team in history......

because "it aint what you do its the way that you do it" ;-)

A little rant

I am stepping onto my soapbax here ........ the problem with todays society is everyone wants everything to come easily to them. We had a prospect who is interested in making money, was keen to join, got to the point of saying he wanted the forms and then changed his mind - it wasnt for him. The next day we had a text from him, all you had to do was forward the text to 6 people and you would be rich!!

So thats all it takes, find 6 people, sent them a text and you will be rich. You dont even need to go to the trouble of typing it out because that would be too difficult to do, no one wants to work that hard for their money - its already typed out, just click "forward" and hey presto you are rich. So we are giving up the challenge and concentrating on sending texts out. - Just kidding ;-)

Just in case anyone was confused

THIS IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME, THIS DOES NOT PROMISE EASY MONEY

What we promise is that if you are prepared to put the work in we will support you in achieving your goal. You will not, cannot get money for nothing. It will take commitment and work. How much work is up to you, it depends on how much you want to earn. For some people they are looking for a part time income, maybe a couple of hundred a month to pay for an annual holiday/vacation, in that case you will need to put in a few hours a week, purely part time. If you are looking to get out of your job, to have the financial freedom to work wherever, whenever you want and still earn more money than you are now then that will take a lot of work, you will need to be doing something most nights of the week and the weekend for probably a year. But then after that the rewards will be worth it and you will be able to give up work and build the lifestyle you dream of. People do make that sort of living in this business, we have seen the proof. Tim and his family live the lifestyle we all dream off, a beautiful home, amazing holidays and achieved by working together from home. - Boy did they send a lot of texts out!!!! ;-)

But seriously we know how hard Tim and Poni worked in the begining. Tim would say too hard because they were just learning the business they made lots of mistakes and wasted a lot of time, and thats the support that we, through Tim can offer. We can show you how to work smart not just hard so that the effort you put in isn't wasted. But you will still need to put effort in yourself.

So yesterday was a mixed day. Katie did the market which wasnt a success, very few people turned up, hardly any of the stalls sold anything. The evening appointment realised it was his wedding anniversary and although he is a Karate instructor he took the wise decision not to risk the wrath of his wife by coming!!

Steve's day was a lot better and not just because of a good football result! He went to a talk by Dr Nugent and was as ever inspired by him, he is truly an inspiration, he gave up an incredibly succesful medical practice to spend 340 days a year tarvelling to spread the word about these amazing products. He told us he has now given up his home and doesnt have an address because he travels so much. Steve was so inspired he sent Katie a text saying "this is brilliant, you really should be here, fancy travelling to London tomorrow to see him?"!!

The best news however was how impressed our prospect was, it was great to see how excited she was on the way home, already making a list of people she could approach. She would be very very good in the business, she has an amazing depth of knowledge as a therapist, she has loads of contacts and is well respected locally. I can see this fitting in so well with her dream of having her own holistic therapy centre. She took the forms away to go through and hopefully will get started this week so that she can be part of this and come to our team training on Friday.

I have promised Katie we will have a day off today, she has worked so hard this week it will be great to just spend some time together. So I am just going to send a couple of e mails and make a few calls ;-) - it doesnt feel like work when it is this much fun!

Splitting up

Today is soooo busy we are having to go our seperate ways!

Katie is at an organic market promoting the preservative free skin care which will be huge when it is fully available in the UK. After the whole of the American stock sold out in 8 hours it was no surprise that we were limited to just 2 small packs per associate in the UK.

Steve is going to a lecture by Dr Steve Nugent who helped design a lot of the products. He is taking a prospect who would be awesome in the business if she signed up, she has so many contacts.

Later tonight Katie has a presentation she is doing for a owner of a local Karate school.

Yesterday was a day of mixed success, the organisers of the place Katie was messed up her appointments so she didnt have any clients but she still managed to sell a product so met her daily goal set by Tim.

Ups and Downs

We never thought the challenge would be easy and we expected good and bad days.

Yesterday was one of the more disappointing, it had looked so promising, a meeting in the day with a prospect who sounded really keen, a meeting at night with 2 more prospects.

The 2 at night cancelled, the second was not well so when she heard she was the only one she said she would re-arrange but still sounds keen.

The meeting in the day went well but he wanted to think about it so no sign up immediately. The risk is of course that the clock is ticking away on the challenge and they will miss out if they leave it too late.

We have arranged for a few to come to a meeting by one of the leading scientists in the company on saturday so hopefully that will bring in some more team members and we have been given about 15 UK leads by Tim

The secret in this business is not to give up, almost without fail everyone who stays in this business for a significant amount of time makes money, whether they want to or not!

So yesterday wasnt the best of days but we never expect that.

On a positive note 5 of our associates placed orders for the new amazing skin care range :-)

A daily target

Being a day of rest we didnt do a lot on sunday business wise, responded to a couple of queries from the team and spoke to D, s prospect who is really keen and offering a solution to the difficulty preventing him from signing up.

Sunday night we had our weekly call with Tim, he was really excited about the progress of the challenge and although all of us as a team are behind schedule he expected that, knowing that it will gather momentum. He is very pleased with what we have done so far and has great plans for us, we talked about us moving over to California and when we can expect to do that.

We talked about ways we can make it easier for people to sign up and speed the process up. We also talked about how we can help our teams build their business up. He was passing some tips on that his mentor Jett taught him. Jett is one of the top 10 highest earners in te world in amy network marketing company and taught Tim a lot that he is now passing on to us.

We are both very excited about this and pleased with progress after the first week.

A slice of life

One of the beauties about this business is that life can carry on, it is truly a part time business that fits around life and not the oter way around.

Yesterday was a slower day, I was busy at work, in the Crown Court all day and then on call at night and was called to the police station almost as soon as I got home. I did manage to arrange for a prospect to come to a product training session with Dr Nugent next week. She will be very good if she gets into it, she does loads of alternative terapies and this would fit in with what she does perfectly. I have been trying to get her involved since we first started.

Katie had to skip the day in Nottingham because she was really ill and spent most of the day in bed, it is a recurrence of the illness that forced her out of work. It recurrs occasionally but not too often, it is under control, and we know her health and wellbeing are much better since she has been taking these products. Our associate K still went to the company so even though katie was ill and I was at work we were still earning money.

Today I am still on call until 5:00 but my knee is still giving me some pain so I am going to take it easy. Gemma is coming up today and we are both really looking forward to seeing her. She is 15 and very commercial minded, she has already decided she is never going to work for a boss and is going to be self employed as soon as she leaves school. Her business cards have arrived today she will be very excited and she wants to start doing some work on the business. It is great knowing that by the time she leaves school she will have a residual income such that she doesnt have to work.

I cant think of a better gift.

Busy busy busy

Today has been very busy, the work continues to generate itself and our energy remains high.

Today we have -

Rang a lead in Germany. He is currently in America. We were given his mobile number; no answer. Emailed him tonight and we will continue ringing his mobile

Arranged meeting for Sunday evening

Arranged meeting for Tuesday evening - product meeting mainly, although the woman is a complementary therapist so could become a connector

Arranged a meeting for next Saturday with a local karate instructor - possible connector

Arranged a meeting for Thursday evening with a homeopath - product and business opp meeting

A Dr Nugent event has just been announced over here today. We have arranged for some associates and prospects to go.

Found out today that the eye cream and make-up remover are also out of stock in America! We desperately need someone in Australia as Karen is getting several skin care orders each week

The skin care trial packs will be launched in the UK on MONDAY!!!!!!!!

Chased a prospect in Texas but still no response.

We have also chased D up and he will sign up at the weekend, this is the second time he has said he will join but I think he realises what he could miss out on this time, I really hope he does. He is one of the nicest guys I know and I would love to see him do well.

Texted the mate I spoke to last night, he has doubts about selling so have tried to explain that selling isnt a big part of it, will let him think about it and ring him tomorrow.

Decided to have a night off tonight, Katie has worked very hard and I have twisted my knee and aggravated a long standing injury from a car crash. I was meant to be going to a function tonight but I wanted to rest my knee, got a big case in the Crown court tomorrow and I am the only advocate in the firm qualified to do it so I cant risk being ill or in pain. We started to relax watching series 2 of prison break but then the phone rang and we ended up working becuase at the moment we are just enjoying it too much not to.

On the money

Talk is cheap, we can tell you everything that we are doing but it counts for nothing unless the money is coming in.

So today we took positive steps that resulted in money, we had a meeting with E who has activated his account, another associate S has also activated his account for the first time.

Katie spoke to another inactive associate who is setting up an auto order tomorrow, she loves the products and has seen the benefits but hasnt got round to ordering.

We are now 2 off getting our team bonus, the first step on the ladder and our products paid for.

The thing we have learnt from this is that you dont need to know loads about the business or the products. When we started we took a month or so learning all the science behind the products, we studied the compensation plan and made our own presentations. We have realised that by doing that we made it hard for others to copy, we put people off because it all looked so difficult, we took away the momentum.

There are 2 secrets - keep it simple, show people how quickly they can get rewards, show them that they can buy the best products out there and by sharing it with people they know and the products are paid for. We should be aiming that no one pays for their own products, set up an auto order with the money going out on payday, get 6 people doing the same and by the time the money goes out it is coming back in. It gives you a month maximum to get 6 people in and with our help and Tims help that is a very realistic aim.

Secondly it isnt what you say but how you say it, when you are genuinely excited and fired up thats what people buy into, not the scientific proof that the products are amazing.

So the challenge continues, it is all consuming at the moment. Tonight an old friend of Steves rang, he hadnt spoken to him for a couple of years. After the opening pleasantries, the old friend asks what we are up to........ 10 minutes later with Steve more animated than I have ever seen him, this guy is asking for the website details and telling Steve how many people he knows :-)

So all consuming is it that we missed tea tonight and Steve even missed the first half of the England match!!!

Tomorrow Steve is off to a sportsmans evening with a talk from Nasser Hussain - lets see if we can sign him up ;-)

The momentum continues

Another awesome day and proof of what you can do with excitement and momentum.

Kt has been at a mutlinational corporations headquaters today and has arranged to have a permanent stand there every friday, this means more exposure and a chance to meet more people.

Whilst there she met an inactive associate M. She has explained this amazing chance we have to change our lives and everyones who joins in this challenge with us. She is meeting him on friday to get him started on an auto order.

Tonights meeting with E has been cancelled but on tomorrow.

K has agreed to start an auto order. I have sent the forms off to D today and will call Thursday to sign him up.

If the 4 we have started on in 2 days all come on board we are 2 off our Team bonus of £65, I cant help thinking we will be looking back in a few weeks and smiling at that figure.

There is a real sense of urgency about us at the moment, we have to get this going fast, we cant miss this chance. We cannot be negative for a minute, we have to be in state all the time. It is tiring but in a years time we can rest when we will have a lot more leisure time.

Day 2 in the big brother house :-)

Ok not exactly big brother but you know what I mean.

We were still on a high today, even with the lack of sleep last night I jumped out of bed this morning. After promising Katie that I had just 2 more minutes to do last night I took the laptop to bed and Katie hid under the duvet whilst I worked until about 2:00, my mind was racing with ideas so I wouldn't have slept anyway.

My drive to work is one of my main motivations to succeed in this business, I really envy Katie and her 3 second commute to work across the landing into the study. I drive 12 miles and it takes me 50 minutes....... Well it used to but they have changed the road system and it seems a lot quicker so I allowed myself the 25 minutes I have been needing the last couple of weeks only to find that the new improved road system was nothing but the kids being off school!!! It took me an hour to get in and I was very late. Still I made the most of it and rang one of the team E. E is near the top of our team but has struggled to get motivated, after speaking to him for 20 minutes this morning and explaining the deal and the opportunity he was reeling off names of people he will contact this week. We arranged for him to come round tomorrow night and we will go through it in detail and get him started properly. He was so excited, the fact that he is my best mate made it even more worthwhile.

I then started working through all the people who I had spoken to before and were keen but for what ever reason didnt follow it through.

I spoke to D who couldnt afford it before but now says he cant afford not to.

I Texted from court and set up 2 more meetings.

So today -

1 meeting confirmed
1 person asking for forms to be sent to sign up
2 meetings suggested for asap

And that was just me!!!

Katie gave a presentation to 12 people about nutrition who were given details about follow up consultations.

We also met up in our favourite bar and had a meal out to celebrate our good fortune

and now to stop working and watch prison break. :-)

Day 1 in the 100 days to $300,000 challenge

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If Kipling had written that on this laptop it would have gone something like this.......

If you can spend an hour polishing you first blog on here
Until you are happy with it
Only to press paste instead of copy and see it all lost
If you can realise that now wasnt the time to drink champagne
And wait until you have the money before you celebrate
If you can rub your eyes and start again without complaint
Then you, my son, might just make it in this business

So whats it all about?

This is part of the 100 day challenge set up by Tim Altvater (http://www.100daysto300k.com/) to show that you can earn up to $300,000 in 100 days in Network Marketing.

Tim Altvater is one of the most respected and succesful people in the network marketing world. he runs seminars all across America showing people how they can achieve their goals and run a successful home business. Tim has been one of the highest earners in this business for many years in a row and knows more than anyone what it takes to build a successful business.

We have just been chosen as one of 10 people in a team that Tim will take from more or less zero to the top of the organisation structure. One of the 10 will be earning in the region of $300,000.

It will be like an online Big Brother only more like Big money. Tim will update on his site and you can follow the progress there and on our Blog.

We first met Tim in January when we went to one of his seminars in Florida, since then we have tried to put his teachings into practice with varied success, some good months and some bad. Some highs and some lows.

This Blog will chart our success, or otherwise. We will also post about or personal life to show its not all work and no play :-)

This is the biggest news we could have heard, we have worked hard in this business and have made money from it. We have enjoyed amazing trips to Florida and the Deep south of America courtesy of our earnings but now we are about to hit it big time. If this challenge succeeds we will be able to give up work, it really is like winning the lottery (we were joking about the champagne at the beginning but we felt like celebrating - we can only blame Steves clumsy fingers for losing everything!!!)

So a little about us. We are Steve and Katie from the UK, as we were known to everyone on the Florida seminar. Steve is a Lawyer and Katie is a nutritionist. We live in Nottinghamshire with our cute dog Millie. We also share our time with Steves 15 year old daughter most weekends.

We are already planning how to spend the money, or more accurately how to spend our life. As another dull English summer comes to an end a home in California is very appealing. The Beauty of the business is we can run it anywhere in the world with just a phone and internet access. We definitely want to travel, we thought we would never be able to get off the mortgage treadmill long enough to be able to do that but now we can. We can also set a date for our dream wedding and pay for our family to join us.

The most important thing to both of us is our family, we are really excited at the prospect of being able to share it with them all, we are looking forward to our parents being able to give up work. We have a holiday every year with our family and we want to continue with that and treat them all to a holiday of a lifetime.

We are excited too about sharing this with our friends, giving them the chance to be able to earn enough to live their dreams too.

We will update this daily, some days will be more exciting than others.

If you want to know how you could share in this challenge and fulfill some of your dreams get in touch with us and either one of us or Tim will show you how you can be part of this.
