Constant never ending improvement

This principle of Anthony Robbins' is repeated through a lot of success literature. I am reading 'the slight edge' and I think it holds the key to a lot of success. We are trying to achieve something amazing here in this challenge and show that you can earn money from this business very quickly, we are lucky I guess with our company because it is front loaded in the sense that you can start to earn money quickly.

Having said that it doesnt come easily always, we done a lot of work this week chasing people who had expressed an interest and trying to get a yes/no. We have learnt that our time is too important to work with people who arent committed. A lot of people like the idea of earning money from this business and/or sharing the unique products but thats as far as it goes, frankly some people we have been talking to just wont make it in this business, like anything else you need to put the effort in.

I remember something our mentor Tim Altvater said to us at the beginning. He said it can be a part time business or a full time business but it cant be a sometimes business. If you can only commit 10 hours a week to the business then you have to commit that time every weeek, not 10 hours this week and then another in 4 weeks time. Most people watch 2-3 hours a night of TV, if you cut that by an hour and commit that time and another 2 hours a day at the weekend you have your 10 hours, just stick to it.

The slight edge book explains it like this, every decision you make either takes you higher on the edge or lower. It wont harm if you miss a night nor will it make you rich if you do one hour, however doing that hour every night, night after night will make you rich.

Thats what we have been doing this week, we have been putting the time in every day. We havent seen immediate success this week, having said that we have signed another connector up who may refer to her patients once she has been taking the products, we have had good feed back to our new campaign of sending free mannabears out to connectors to try, we have made another retail sale to yet another connector - by connector I mean someone who is in a position to provide us with referals.

You never know when the work will pay off. Maybe this week we have spoken to 50 people who havent made a decision, a month later 10 of those 50 might decide the time is right to sign up. The secret is to keep going, keep doing the little easy stuff and the results will follow.

So keep at at it and in time you will have the financial lifestyle you desire, you will always get the lifestyle you deserve - you decide what you deserve.

How to earn money from home

I guess thats the point really, we are earning money in te comfort of our home and as we look out onto the bleak morning we are pretty grateful.

The best part of this business is that it gets easier, people start doing some of the work for you.

Like yesterday, we have 2 people saying that they want to join the team. This is not through any effort on our part, one of our associates is going on holiday next week and has recruited 2 people before she goes! So hopefully our team will have increased soon. We are also seeing another associate tonight to get him started, we aim to get him to sign up 2 this week. We are starting to see how the business grows exponentially, if each person just signs 2 people a week up you get to 1000 people in 10 weeks.

Meanwhile we are pressing on to sign another 2 oursleves this week, after all we cant have our associates beating us ;-)

Do you remember the old days?

So today brought 4 sales and a new associate plus many leads and prospects.

In short if every day went like today I could give up my job as a lawyer earning over $100,000 per year.

In a years time we will say to each other "do you remember when..........."

- I had to drive 40 minutes each way to work
- If I managed to leave on time I wouldnt be home until after 6pm
- We spent just 4 hours a day together
- If I wanted a day off we had to check the diary to make sure I didnt have a trial
- I had to check with all my colleagues to make sure no one else was off if I wanted a holiday
- I was on call once a week
- Overtime wasnt paid but expected
- I got 1 raise a year
- no matter how many clients I brought in I got paid the same
- more clients meant more work not more money
- I was still 20+ years away from retirement and anticipating a reduction in living standards not an increase
- The most precious person in the world, my daughter hardly saw her daddy when she was growing up. I missed her first step, her first words and her first day at school
- You couldnt choose who you worked with.

Why wouldnt anyone do this, it is a business plan that has made more millionaires than any other over the last 15 years.

But do you know the truth is $1,000,000 would be nice but I have learnt the hard way it isnt what you earn but HOW you earn it. For all the millionaires you see in this business there are 1000's earning a living wage but earning it in comfort, with a good lifestyle.

I earn a lot as a Lawyer but even with all the profit sharing I have, all the bonuses and annual income I still cant afford to turn back the clock and be there to hear Gemma say daddy for the first time. Gemma is 15 now and part of this, my future children will know what its like to have a dad that provides for them and is still there to take them to the park in the middle of the day.

Why anyone would not want to be part of this amazes me.

A glimpse of a better life

Today has been awesome, one of the best yet. So simple, nothing dramatic just awesome.

It has given us a glimpse of how life will be when we have succeeded in this business.

I have taken a couple of days off work, partly because my knee injury is getting worse and I want to rest it to avoid having to have an operation. I also wanted to take the chance to really go for it on the business.

We set the alarm for 7:00, normally it is 6:30. We intended to get up immediately but dozed and hugged and chatted until about 7:45. OK so we were late getting up but it was only going to take us 4 seconds to get to work, Katie would take a little longer because she was working downstairs, I had to just walk along the landing to the study. But we are our own boss so it didnt matter if we were late :-)

We then had a strategy meeting, we went to Frankie and Bennies for breakfast and to plan the day.

Back home we started work, our aim was to make as many calls as we could.

First call, first sale for Katie!

We made calls for a couple of hours, a few more sales and contacts. Then we had lunch together, chilled and just enjoyed spending the time together.

Back to work, more calls, more contacts and another sale.

Then we stopped working at about 4:00 because we wanted to get ready for our friends who introduced us into the business coming round for tea. We went shopping and were the youngest in the shop by years (well Katie was ;-)) everyone else was at work.

Home and prepare tea together.

So this is work. Basically spending time together, working at home with music on, being able to spend time with the dog. Working when we want, doing what we want and still earning money for us. This of course is the hardest part, setting the teams up, building the business, putting the calls in. Once we have got past this part it gets even easier for us.

Wouldnt you want this life?

We do and we are prepared to work hard for the next few months so we can have the life we dream of.

1 place left

WOW

What a week, highs and lows. It has been frustrating at times but well worth it.

Tomorrow is the end of this months business period.

Yesterday was a bit frantic we rang around trying to fill the last 3 places in the top of our team. A mixture of no replies to calls and a variey of excuses meant it looked like we were going to be a way short of our target.

Our goal was to find 6 business builders, 6 people who wanted to do the business seriously and were prepared to invest immediately. We were then going to spend next month building their teams to get them their first bonus and hence free products.

We had 3 in place already. By yesterday we had 12 who had said they wanted to be part of it too. 1 signed up but didnt buy the products to qualify himself as one of our business builders and there was no time for him to retail any products.

The other 11 were either not available or not ready....... but it looks like they might miss out this month.

Just when it looked like we werent going to make it Tim called and said he had placed 2 in our group!!

So as of 22:42 UK time and with just 8 UK business hours to go we have 1 place left.

Whoever contacts us first and are prepared to commit £70 or about $100 will get the last place on our busines building team.

You can contact us on the email address on the site, lets get you on board and talk about how we are going to build your team next month.

Your very best

You owe it to yourself and everyone around you to be your very best.

This inspired me.

Last week

We werent as active as we would have liked last week because of work commitments and because Steve was laid low with a bug for a large part of the week.

The secret however is never to stop, never to concentrate on those that dont sign up or who let you down. We have had a number of dissapointments, a few people not doing what they said they would do.

However - We have got a lot of interest from the karate instructor, we are meeting him in a few weeks, he cant before then. Katie also met the owner of the local gym, he is keen to join up and is promoting the products in his gym, we are waiting for the forms from him, we followed a lead and he is signing up on friday nad is very keen.

We are not going to spend any more time on people who cant commit, we are offering a chance of a lifetime and if people cant get into that then we dont have the time to keep chasing them.
